The Big Island is off to a good start when it comes to sending football players to the mainland to play college ball. The big news is of course the D-1 signings by Shaun Kagawa(Army), David Fangupo(UH), and Manase Hungalu(Oregon State). However, the more exciting news in my book is that 17 other Big Island seniors have found college football opportunities. I am sure there are more announcements to come, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the number double. So far, in addition to the above mentioned schools, we will be sending players to the College of the Redwoods, Fullerton College, Butte College, Ventura College, and Northwestern U. of Minn. I will try to keep you up to date, as I find out where other players are going. Thanks to Matt Tomlin the Offensive Coordinator @ College of the Redwoods for posting this on our our Facebook page, "Thank you Sportz Viz for the great videos that allow us to evaluate these players!!!" Also to Kainoa Lyman's dad who had this to say, "Thanks so much for the recruiting video, good job. Also, thank you for supporting our kids in Hawaii." Kainoa will be joining Coach Matt at College of the Redwoods this year. Congratulations to all the Big Island players who have landed a college football opportunity so far. I hope to update the list soon. In the meantime, check out the spotlight videos I produced for the three kids who signed D-1 letters of intent. Click on the player's name to see the video, David Fangupo, Manase Hungalu, Shaun Kagawa.
